Kathleen Frances Geisler

Kathleen Frances Geisler, aged 93 years, passed away at Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, SK on Sunday, May 6th, 2018.  Kathleen was born in Moose Jaw, SK on November 9th, 1924.  She was educated at St. Agnes School and the Academy of SION in Moose Jaw.  She worked as an Office Clerk and Bookkeeper at the Moose Jaw Co-op Creamery Association for 10 years until 1952.  Kathleen married Edward Geisler of Avonlea and they were married for 51 years.  She was a member of the Claybank CWL, St. Joseph’s Parish Council, Avonlea History Book Committee, and board member of the Avonlea Heritage House Museum for over 20 years.  She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; and brothers, John and Albert Shuttleworth.  Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Linda (Richard); son, Richard (Cathy); grandsons: Chad, Ryan, and Shawn; and great-grandchildren, Clara and Cooper.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Claybank, SK.  Father J.R. Prince will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place in Claybank Cemetery.  A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, May 11th, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Claybank, SK.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen’s name may be made to Coteau Range Manor, Box 60, Avonlea, SK S0H 0C0.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
