Marjorie (Marge) Grace Hall
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Marjorie (Marge) Grace Hall (née Usher), who passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018. Marge was born in Moose Jaw on May 30th, 1923. She served in the WAC (Woman’s Army Corp) where she met Charles Hall in 1942, who was serving in the RAF and was stationed at 15 Wing. After a 2 year courtship, they were married on March 1st, 1944 shortly before he was recalled back to England, thus starting an incredible journey of the enduring and everlasting love for one another. In 1949, Marge and Charles, now with 3 children, returned to Moose Jaw. During these years their family would grow, giving Marge and Charles 5 daughters and 1 son. Marge’s main focus was her undying love for her family, right to the end. She loved all the visits from her children and grandchildren, especially her granddaughter Glenda and her amazing treats. During these years, Marge was the greatest mother, homemaker, teacher, nurse, mentor, baker, referee, and all round “Mother Hen”. She also loved to crochet, bowl and golf, where she even got a hole in one in Mesa, Arizona. Marge was a wonderful problem solver and many people would seek her advice. With the family grown, Charlie and Marge enjoyed several years of travelling before purchasing a winter home in Mesa, Arizona, where they spent eighteen wonderful years. Marge spent her last years at Crescent Park Villa and thoroughly appreciated the very caring staff who enjoyed her sense of humor, her great wit, and her worldly advice. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles; parents, Samuel and Mary Usher; siblngs: Ernie (Mavis) Usher, Fred (Brenda) Usher, Rita (Herb) Horsnall, Dorothy (Bill) Pryor, Helen (Ray) Rule, and Tom Usher. Marge will be sadly missed by her children: Sharon (Jim) Kuntz, Joan (Trevor) Staseson, Carolyn Deets (Frank Murphy), Larry (Lorraine) Hall, Debbie (Kelly) Mackay, and Denise (Brad) Parry; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Marge’s Life will be held on Monday, May 14th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Seaborg officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marge’s name may be made to The Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 2550 Broad St, Regina, SK S4P 3Z4.
