Neil Vernon Ingalls
Neil Vernon Ingalls, aged 69 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018. He was predeceased by his mother, Ethel Ingalls; and grandparents, Frank and Minnie Whitemore. Neil is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ingalls; son, Kevin (Bobbi) Ingalls and children Quinn and Piper; daughter, Tammy (Bruce) Tweten and children Tyler (Victoria), Richard, Dona, and Blake; daughter, Stacey (Cory) Martin and children Aidan, Markayl, Keely, Caibre, and Roark; and son, Kyle Ingalls; father and mother-in-law, Glen and Dolores Willfong; brother-in-law, Randy (Teresa) Willfong and children Corey (Leslie), Marty (Jana), and Vanessa (Fadi) and families; brother-in-law, Trent (Leslie) Willfong and children Tanner and Tory (Tessa); and of course his sidekick and faithful furry companion, J.D; and special friends, Vic and Lori Tuplin, Jim Williams, and the late Judy Ellis are amongst his many special extended family and friends. Neil was born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK where he attended King George, Central Collegiate, and A.E. Peacock Collegiate. While attending Central Collegiate he met and later married the love of his life Cheryl (Willfong) Ingalls and they went on to have 4 children. Neil was hired on at the Moose Jaw Fire Hall in 1972 and was a proud member of Local 553 where he dedicated the remainder of his career until his retirement in 2008. Being a lover of all sports, throughout his career and post retirement Neil volunteered with the Moose Jaw Midget AAA Generals and the Moose Jaw Warriors until his passing. Neil was an integral part of our community and a permanent fixture in all of our local rinks, gymnasiums, and ball parks, where he would enjoy watching his children and grandchildren, billets and friends. Neil also enjoyed travelling with his wife to his favourite destination, Maui, where they would enjoy some rest and relaxation in paradise. Neil will be loved forever and missed by all that knew him. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital Intensive Care Unit nurses and the entire medical staff that worked and cared for him, with a very special thanks to Doctors Millar, Niaz, and Colwell. Your kindness and compassion knew no bounds. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Ellis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neil’s name may be made to Moose Jaw Firefighters Charity Fund, 1205 Main St N, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 6M3.
