Sharen Jean Kunz

Sharen Jean Kunz (née Shepherd) passed away suddenly in her home in Moose Jaw, SK on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018.  Sharen was born on February 20th, 1947 in Biggar, SK to Joseph and Kathleen (Kay) Shepherd.  She grew up around movies and working the concession at the family-owned Majestic Theatre in Biggar.  She moved to Saskatoon to attend Saskatoon Business College and met Cyril Kunz.  Sharen married Cyril on August 10th, 1968 and they moved to Moose Jaw.  She worked as a secretary/administrative assistant for the City of Moose Jaw, ManPower (now Canada Employment Agency), Sacred Heart School, and at Canadian Forces Base Moose Jaw – 15 Wing.  She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Barry; and her husband, Cyril.  Sharen is survived by her loving sons, Steven (Cheryl Archibald) and Derrick (Shawna); and grandchildren: Kiersten, Sara, Jacob, Annika, and Rebekah.  The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Deacon Lamont Dyck officiating.  Interment will take place on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Biggar Cemetery, Biggar, SK with Father Edward Gibney presiding.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, Unit 26 – 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
