Dale Boyd McFadden
It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Boyd McFadden announce his passing on Thursday, February 1st, 2018. Dale was born April 28th, 1931 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. At the age of 4 months he moved to Pelly, Saskatchewan with his parents and brother, where he attended a rural school. In 1940 they returned to Moose Jaw where he attended Ross, Prince Arthur and Peacock schools. He worked for several farmers in the Tuxford area before starting with Central Motors in 1950. As well, Dale started farming in 1967 in the Tuxford area. In 1981, after 31 years of working at Central Motors/Band City Chev Olds, Dale retired from being a mechanic and devoted himself to farming. This was his true passion, which he was able to do until 2014 when his health prevented him from continuing. Dale belonged to the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and the Progressive Conservative Party. He enjoyed dancing, playing cards and spending time with family. Dale leaves to mourn his wife of 61 years, Jean; son, Randy (Linda); daughter, Melody (Marlowe) Norberg; granddaughters, Breana (Matt) Vandenberghe and Calista Norberg, and great-granddaughters, Ava and Ella Vandenberghe, all of Calgary, Alberta; brother, Gordon (Sharon) of Castlegar, BC; sister, Irene Boilard of Kelowna, BC; as well as many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 7th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Dale’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan, 301 – 2550–12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
