Robert “Bob” Mann
Robert “Bob” Mann, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 16th, 2018 at the age of 79 years. Bob was born on the family farm at Spring Valley in August 1939. He married Patricia Thiele on July 24th, 1965 and they had three children. He worked at Valley View Centre as a psychiatric nurse until his retirement. Bob first and foremost loved his family. He also loved to travel with his wife Pat to see the grandkids, but they also took many trips with friends to Las Vegas, Mexico, and Alaska on a Cruise. He loved sports. He played baseball and was said to be one heck of a pitcher and could “hit like hell”. He loved fishing, going to the Millers baseball games and Warrior hockey games. Bob also loved to work in his yard and garden – his grass was like a putting green. He loved to cook and always made sure everyone knew the door was always open. There would be more than enough food and drink for all, because it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Helen Mann; brother, Jim Mann; and his close in-laws, Zack and Vina Thiele. Bob will be forever remembered by his wife, Pat; children: Clint (Lana), Michelle (Rick), and Cheryl (Brad); and grandkids: Meighan (Rob), Katie, Tamra, Jacob, Matthew, and Kyla. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Al Rossler will officiate and interment will take place in Moose Jaw Indoor Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com

I just found out about Bob’s passing. I am sorry for you, Pat, and the family. I first met Bob when I worked the summer of 1971 on Sioux cottage. He regaled me with stories of growing up in Spring Valley and playing baseball. Our casual friendship started that summer. Later I grew to know Bob much better in our new working relationships. I always found his practical jokes to brighten up the workplace. He will definitely be missed in our lives.
