Irene Margaret (Joa) Sather

Irene Margaret (Joa) Sather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Wing – Providence Place in Moose Jaw, SK at the age of 95 years.  Irene was predeceased by her husband, Arnold; parents, Adam and Sarah Joa; and 8 siblings: Art Joa, Norb Joa, Marie Edwards, Rae Joa, Rita Edwards, Mildred Anderson, Leonard Joa, and Harold Joa.  Irene is survived by her daughter, Janet Remple (Paul Langlois) of Moose Jaw, SK; grandson, Kelly Remple (Sonja) of Regina, SK; son, Royce Sather (Joane) of St. Albert, AB; grandchildren, Alison and Bradley of Edmonton, AB; great-grandchildren: Ainsley and Spencer of Regina, SK, Reagan and Cohen of Edmonton, AB; siblings: Helen Thompson of Regina, SK, Gerald (Rose) Joa of Red Deer, AB, and Patrick (Nelly) Joa of Lethbridge, AB.  Irene was noted for her beautiful hardanger work and needlepoint.  Her greatest love was music, dancing, curling and baseball.  She will always be remembered for her incredible patience, kindness, and her outstanding devotion and love for her family.  Irene will be sadly missed and tenderly remembered by all who knew her.  A Memorial to Celebrate Irene’s Life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
