Lorraine Mary Schinold

Lorraine Mary Schinold, aged 85 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018.  Lorraine was born on the family farm at Log Valley, SK on September 15th, 1932.  She married John Schinold on June 25th, 1957 and together they raised 6 children.  During this time, Lorraine worked at St. Anthony’s Home as a care giver for 22 years.  After John’s passing, she married Hank Janke.  She was predeceased by her first husband, John Schinold; second husband, Hank Janke; daughter, Darlene Lawson; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Schinold; and sister, Tillie.  Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her children: Doug (Mary) Schinold, Frank Schinold (Sharon Herchuk), Shelley Watson (Bruce Richards), Tom (Michelle) Schinold, and Rod (Tammie) Schinold; son-in-law, Ron Lawson (Cindy Campbell); 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter; sisters: Olga (Grant), Louella, and Dianne; brothers: Ernie, Cornie (Dorothy), Henry (Elizabeth), and Johnny; as well as numerous other relatives.  The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 7th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Shepherd officiating.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Lorraine’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, Unit 26 – 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9 or the Saskatchewan Lung Association, Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK S7K 7Y4.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
