Phyllis Elizabeth Craig
Phyllis Elizabeth Craig, aged 89 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Edith Barnett; husband, Lawrence (Scotty); brothers: Phil, Bill, John and Leo; and sisters, Dorothy and Edie. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her son, Kevin (Yoomi); daughter, Carrol (Pat) Morkin; granddaughters: Nancy (Edwin), Julie (Chad), and Angela (Kevin); great-grandchildren: Olivia, Spencer and Sophia; brothers, Allan (Sherry) Barnett and Charlie (Peggy) Barnett; sister, Alice Brander; brothers-in-law, Doug (Orla) Craig and Ken Craig; as well as numerous other relatives. Phyllis was born on July 24th, 1927 on the farm at Lillestrom, SK. She attended Ranch School. Phyllis came to Moose Jaw as a young adult and married Lawrence in June 1947. She then worked at Providence Hospital as a Nurses’ Aide. Together, Phyllis and Lawrence raised two children, Carrol and Kevin. Phyllis’ church family was Trinity, where she made many life-long friends. She loved to travel and visited Japan, Hawaii, Branston and Texas. She was also a regular and welcomed visitor in Calgary for many Christmas and Easter celebrations. Mom, we will all miss you dearly but will not forget you. The family would like to thank Pioneer Lodge for all the exceptional and loving care they gave our mother. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 8th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Tim Ellis will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Phyllis’ name may be made to the Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan Inc, 301-2550 – 12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1 or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 150 Albert St, Regina, SK S5R 2N2.
