EVELYN AGNES THUL (NEE GRONDIN)
Evelyn Thul, aged 94 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 at her home Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, SK. A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will be held on Sunday, February 21st, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Father Rick Krofchek will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. A Time of Visitation for Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 2016 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Evelyn was born on November 17th, 1921 to Ed and Sarah Grondin in Verwood, SK and was one of eight children. She married George Thul on November 17th, 1953 and they resided in Moose Jaw until they moved to the farm at Drinkwater, SK. She loved to cook and feed anyone who happened to stop in, baked the best bread and her cinnamon buns were to die for. She enjoyed many years of traveling and many winters in Arizona with family and friends. She loved to go to bingo, play cards (especially crib) and was hard to beat right to the end. She was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Sarah Grondin; husband, George Thul; son, Bob Thul; brothers: Ed and Stan; sisters, Irene Fox and Gladys Grondin; sisters–in–law, Ethel Grondin and Eleanor Grondin; brothers-in-law, Ernie Fox and Mac Robinson; and nieces: Shirley, MaryLou, Theresa, Glenda, Carla and Carolyn. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her children: Bern (June), Helen (Art) Pashak, Stan (Denise), Peggy (Ron) Paloposki, Debbie Thul, Dan (Debbie) and Doug (Ronda); grandchildren: Joshua (Liz), Jennifer (Terrance), Jonathon (Alina), Sandy (Patrick), Dawn (Gord), Duane (Angela), Roberta (Jacob), Rhea (Brad), Shawn, Jessie (Matt), Amy (Allen), Staci (Shawn), Justin, Nadine (Jason), Greg (Nicky), Dustin, Tyson (Brooke) and Tianna; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters: Helen, Louise and Ann (John); brother, Ken; sister-in-law, Lorraine; as well as many nieces and nephews.
