It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, and grandmother, Mabel Ann Arguin Friday, December 22 nd , 2017 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Barbara Smith; parents-in- law, Joseph and
Yvette Arguin; brothers-in- law: Yvan Arguin, Bruce Dunlop, and Rene Huel; and sisters-in- law, Stella Smith and Diane Dunlop. Mabel is survived by her husband, Sylvio Arguin; daughters, Debbra Arguin and Vickie (Steve) Gould; son, Brian (Lori) Arguin; grandsons: Nolan and Connor Gould, Logan and Jaron Arguin; brothers, Cameron and Clayton Smith; sisters-in- law, Rina Huel and Leona Arguin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born on March 9 th , 1942 in Regina, SK, Mabel was raised on the family farm south of Parkbeg, SK. She attended school at Edgehill and Mortlach, SK. In 1961, she married Sylvio in St. Joseph’s Church in Moose Jaw. A stay at home mom, children were always her love, babysitting many children through the years. Her grandsons being her greatest joy. Mabel enjoyed many of the simple things in life – a game of cards, a cup of coffee, time at the lake, and her door was always open to company. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 28 th , 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Father Rick Krofchek will officiate and a private family interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. The family wishes to recognize and thank the staff of Pioneers Lodge, Providence Place GARU, and Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Vermaak and Dr. G. Miller for their compassionate care and
kindness. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Father Rick Krofchek for his spiritual guidance and support. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Mabel’s name may be made to the St Joseph’s Parish Revitalization Campaign, 1064 3 rd Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 3T9.
