REGINALD ROSS BERRY
May 15th, 1927 – February 4th, 2017
Reginald “Reg” Berry, aged 89 years of Central Butte, SK, passed away on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 in Swift Current, SK. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Central Butte United Church with Sandra Fowler officiating. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty); son, William (Bill); granddaughter, Jennifer; brothers: Vern, Chester, Wally, Clifford, Alfred, and Wilfred; and sisters, Myrtle Theede and Hilda Wood. Reg will be lovingly remembered by his children: Wendy (Ron) Henheffer, Lorraine (Randy) Nelson, Kathie Berry (Joe Klassen), Leann Chernick (Mike Holden), and David; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Beatrice; as well as many nieces and nephews. Reg was born and raised in Central Butte, SK and later moved to BC where he met Betty. After their marriage in 1951, they returned to Central Butte to farm and later moved to town to operate Berry Farm Equipment. Reg worked in the Wilm Gas Station as a mechanic until deciding to become a partner in the Namur Lake Lodge Fly-In Fishing Camp. After selling the camp, he worked for Laird Electric in Fort McMurray, AB until he returned to Central Butte. Reg loved to garden, tinker on small equipment, and go hunting, fishing and camping. As an expression of sympathy, donation in Reg’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
