Lucille Lynn Constable
Lucille Lynn Constable passed away, in her sleep, on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017 at the Moose Jaw hospital, at the age of 63 years. She was born in Moose Jaw, SK on May 27th, 1954 to Percy and Martha Norris. Lynn attended King Edward School and Riverview Collegiate. She also attended college at the Artistique Studio where she mastered her hair design skills. She married Dale Constable on November 16th, 1974 and they were married for 43 years. Together they had two children, Rhonda and Scott. After a diagnosis of kidney cancer in July 2004, she was fiercely determined to fight and did so for over 13 years. She was eager to research and exhausted all medical options including surgery, clinical trials, chemotherapy, radiation and naturopathic therapies. Even after all hope was exasperated, she relentlessly sought additional medical treatments outside of Saskatchewan and abroad. We are truly grateful to Dr. Daniel Heng and his medical team at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary for providing outstanding care and personal attention for the past few years, where she benefitted greatly from the clinical trial program. Those closest to her were inspired by her strength and determination during her fearless battle. Most important to Lynn was the well-being of her own family. One of her greatest joys was hosting dinners and being surrounded at the table by family and friends. She had an abundant group of amazing friends who valued her ability to listen and give great advice. She always found a way to make things happen. Lynn was involved in various fundraising groups. She had a superior work ethic and spent her free time golfing, shopping, gardening, hairdressing, playing cards, cake decorating, creating crafts, camping, painting, sewing, and travelling. She was predeceased by her parents, Percy and Martha Norris; and father and mother-in-law, Frank and Madge Constable. Lynn will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dale; their two children and five grandchildren: Rhonda (John), Spencer (14) and Summer (4), and Scott (Kayla), Emmett (5), Ellie (3), and Penelope (18 months); and her brothers, Bryan (Debbie) and Jerry (Carol). She was greatly loved and we will miss her every day. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. In memory of Lynn, donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 29 Street Calgary, AB T2N 4N2. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
