Ernest “Ernie” Albert Greenley

Ernest “Ernie” Albert Greenley, aged 86 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Friday, May 19th, 2017.  Ernie was born on April 2nd, 1931 in Regina, SK to Ernest William “Bill” Greenley (deceased) and Anne Greenley (deceased).  He was predeceased by his brothers, Ernest and Billy; and sister, Flo.  Ernie is survived by his sister Ev, aged 101 years of Red Deer, AB.  Ernie served in the Korean War and upon returning home, he started in the Plumbing and Heating business, which he worked in until 2014.  He loved to golf and has many awards including the Canadian Pro Am (1982) and Willington Cup (1964).  His most recent honour was in September 2016 when he was inducted into the Saskatchewan Golf Hall of Fame.  Ernie married Roberta on October 14th, 1950 (deceased 2012) and they had 3 children: Gordon (Irene) Greenley, Kathleen (Eloi)Beaudry, and Patricia Greenley (Smishek); 6 grandchildren: Alexandra (Paul) Mulvehill, Kyle Greenley, Christina Greenley, Michael Beaudry, Victoria Smishek, and Matthew Smishek; 4 great-grandchildren: Taryn and Ryliegh Mulvehill, Sophia and Lucas Greenley.  Ernie was remarried on May 1st, 2015 to Joyce Hanson (widowed).  She has 4 children: Rick (Crystal) Hanson, Joanne (Jeff) Tanner, Neil (Lisa) Hanson, and Sandra Hanson (Dorin Lascau); 10 grandchildren: Christine (Jason) Roy, Jason Hanson (Michelle King), Lisa (Darren) Henschel, Dan Tanner, Scott Tanner (Lindsey Clements), Garret Hanson, Don (Sheri) Hanson, Dwayne Kaduhr (Melanie Penner), Les Kaduhr (Michelle Parent), and Mike (Bethany) Kaduhr; and numerous great-grandchildren.  A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Ave E, Regina, SK.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ernie’s name may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command, 3079 5th Ave, Regina SK S4T OL6 or to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Michelle Surtees Funeral Director 306-693-4550
