Lorne Arthur Lynch
July 11th, 1942 – September 24th, 2018
The family of Lorne Lynch announce his passing on Monday, September 24th, 2018. We honor his example of grace and optimism. He was a formidable advisory battling Leukemia for many years. He was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Margaret Lynch. Lorne is survived by his wife of 25 years, Faye; sons: Kelly (Sherri), Patrick (Cheryl), Michael (Trina Gust), and Preston (Emma); daughters, Shannon (Mark) Smith and Jolene (Jared) Koopman; grandchildren: Alexandra, Joshua, Braydon, Darien, Dillion, Beckett, Easton, Kinley, Jasper, and Ella; siblings: Garry, Jim, Donovan, and Candyce (Norman) Waitley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends gathered along life’s trail. Lorne was born in Indian Head, SK in 1942. His father being a school Superintendent, the family resided in many towns: Lipton, Wadena, Blaine Lake, Kerrobert, Luseland, Foam Lake, and Estevan, SK. The majority of Lorne’s schooling was at Kerrobert. Lorne was employed by PFRA for 35 years starting out as rider in 1968 at North Portal, becoming manager in 1977 at Turtleford, SK, transferring to McCraney PFRA at Davidson, SK in 1979, remaining in Davidson until retirement in 2003. Lorne was active in rodeo by competing, judging and serving on boards. He has served on Canadian Western Agribition Rodeo Committee since 1989. Residing in Moose Jaw since 2011, Lorne enjoyed Warrior Hockey, Miller Express Baseball, Saskatchewan Roughriders Football, and Rush Lacrosse. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 28th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorne’s name may be made to the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation, 2217C Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6A8. Faye, was hoping you and Dad were going to make that trip down here to California in the T-Bird. Im so thankful I got to see Dad when I was in Saskatoon. The painting of him done in 1976 that he gave to me Is a treasure.
