Doris Eileen Hall
Doris Eileen Hall passed away on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw, SK at the age of 91 years. Doris was born in Mortlach, SK on August 25th, 1925. She lived on the Hall farm with her husband Gerry until they moved into their new home in Mortlach and later into Moose Jaw. Doris taught at Kalamazoo School and Mortlach School. Doris was very involved in most of the events that took place in Mortlach – school, choir, rink, senior clubs, 4H and especially the church. She loved to sing and played the organ in church for decades. Doris was a talented leader and teacher. She was the founder of the Mortlach Homecraft 4H Club and was a leader of the District 4H Council for over 30 years. She was one of the few inducted into the 4H Hall of Fame. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; brothers: Ivan Hodgins, Lloyd Hodgins, and Haldon (Malty) Hodgins; sisters, Helen (Gerry) Rennie and Shirley Guenther; sisters-in-law, Enid (Ernie) Meadows and Pat Hodgins; brothers-in-law: Frank (Nora) Hall, Lenny MacDonald, Cecile Sorenson, Eric Hall, Fred Fairburn, and Norm Orcheson. Doris is survived by her children: Charlene (Vern) Dulmage – Regina, SK, Donna (Geoff) Cowell – Ottawa, ON, and Keith (Lorrie) Hall – Mortlach, SK; grandchildren: Tracy (Dan) Sprague – Boise, ID, Trevor (Tracy) Dulmage – Calgary, AB, Tim (Michelle) Dulmage – Regina, SK, Taylor (Whitney) Dulmage – Regina, SK, Bryan (Joannie) Cowell – Ottawa, ON, Christy (Jamie) Cowell – Reston, Virginia, Chad (Angela) Hall – Moose Jaw, SK, Tyler (Jessie) Hall – Mortlach, SK, Nicholas (Aspen) Hall – Mortlach, SK; and great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Andrew, Seth, Samuel, Eleanor, Russell, Benjamin, Quintin, Gemma, Dallas, Sadie and Gavin. She is also survived by her siblings: Evelyn Orcheson, Stanley Hodgins, Gladys MacDonald, and Inez Sorenson; brother-in-law, Bud Guenther; sisters-in-law, Doris Hall and Claire Fairburn, as well as her many nieces, nephews and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Aiden Anglican Church, 124 1st Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK.
