Allan Malcolm Hampton
Allan Malcolm Hampton, aged 94 years, passed away peacefully at the Herbert and District Integrated Health Facility (Herbert Nursing Home) with family by his side on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents, Levi and Ruth Hampton; brothers, Paul Hampton and John Hampton; daughter, Janice Heebner; and his loving wife of 63 years, Willa Hampton. Allan will be lovingly remembered by his children: Keith (Bonnie) Hampton, Darcy Hampton, Bill (Vikki) Hampton, Paula (Al) Martens, Harold (Jenn) Hampton, Earl Hampton, and Ian (Maria) Hampton; son-in-law, Blaine Heebner; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Allan was born August 22nd, 1922 in Govan, SK. He worked at a bush camp up north from 1947 to 1949 cutting pulp wood and worked for a commercial fishing outfit around 1950. Allan moved to the Calderbank area in the spring of 1952 to work for Harry Pinch. Allan and Willa were married on October 20th, 1953 at the United Church in Ernfold, SK. They rented the land for three years and then bought Cyril Dowden’s place north of Ernfold where they built their lives and raised a family. They retired in 1991 and moved to Central Butte, SK. After a few more moves, they moved to Herbert, SK and in the fall of 2016 moved into the nursing home. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ernfold Community Hall, Ernfold, SK. Edna Nordin will lead the service and a private family interment will be held at the Ernfold Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Allan’s name may be made to the Ernfold Community Hall, Box 70, Ernfold, SK S0H 1K0.
