Eleanor Winnifred Huber
Eleanor Winnifred Huber, aged 92 years of Saskatoon, SK, passed away on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017. Eleanor was born at the family farm north of Ernfold, SK on March 15th, 1925. She went to school at Lone Tree Lake and when that closed went to Sunflower, then took her grade 10 in Ernfold. Eleanor married John Carl Huber on April 13th, 1945. She was a member of the United Church, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Senior Citizens. She lived and raised their family in Chaplin, SK. Eleanor loved working in the yard with her many beautiful flowers. She spent the last 7 years living at The Bentley Retirement Living – 2 years in Moose Jaw, SK and 5 years in Saskatoon – where she made many friends. Eleanor was a social butterfly. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl on June 30th, 2001; grandson, Kelly James Huber on March 23rd, 1976; brother, Donald Williams on January 12th, 1972; and sister, Muriel Gough on December 26th, 2010. Eleanor is survived by her children, Dan (Marilyn) Huber and Linda (Richard) Gellatly; granddaughters: Krista (Corey) Howard, Danielle Huber, and Sheri Lind; and great-granddaughter, Brooke Lind. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place in Chaplin Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor’s name may be made to Central Butte Iver Main Place, Box 550, Central Butte, SK S0H 0T0.
