Frances Grace Jardine (née Spiller)
It is with great sadness that we announce that Frances Grace Jardine (née Spiller) passed away peacefully in her home in Moose Jaw, SK on the evening of Monday, August 14th, 2017, just two weeks shy of her 95th birthday. She was born in Moose Jaw on August 29th, 1922 to Frank and Grace Spiller; the first of seven children. She graduated from Moose Jaw Technical High School and worked at Robin Hood Mills and later as a teletype operator. On September 27th, 1950 she married the love of her life, Fred Jardine and raised two daughters. Over the years she was an active member of the Moose Jaw community. She was a Past Noble Grand of No. 54 Rebbekah Lodge, a President of the Ladies Auxiliary 601 Wing, a choral singer with Magic Harmony, and a member of the Moose Jaw Horticultural Society and St. John’s Anglican Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred; parents, Frank and Grace; sisters: Edith, Beth, and Bell; brothers, Merv and William; and son-in-law, Max. Frances is survived by her sister, Doreen; daughters, Judy Jardine and Betty-Lou Morrison; grandchildren: Amber (Jacob), Byron (Christina), and Trevor; and great-grandchildren: Kylan, Logan and Ezra. The Funeral Service will be held in her honour on Monday August 28th, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in St. Aidan Anglican Church, 124 1st Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend Deacon Arleen Champion will officiate. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK S7K 7Y4. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
