Henry “Phillip” Kober
Henry “Phillip” Kober, aged 89 years, passed away on Monday, May 29th, 2017 at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK. Phil leaves to mourn his partner of 24 years, Jean Marion Bathgate and her children; as well as his three children; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. He was raised on a farm in the Grainland District, the son of John and Emilia Kober. He worked in Moose Jaw at Hobbs Glass, then moved to Calgary and was involved in the construction of the CN Tower. Later, he worked in Victoria, BC where he retired in the late eighties. He reunited with Jean in 1993, a former friend from school days. They moved to Moose Jaw in 1995 where they resided until his passing. In his younger years, Phil was an avid golfer. They enjoyed many years of travel, as well as camping with the “Good Sam Club”, making many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Dave Foley officiating. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Phil’s name may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert St, Regina, SK S4R 2P6.
