Beatrice Marie McBride (née Marcotte)

Beatrice Marie McBride (née Marcotte), formerly of Grayburn, SK, passed away in Moose Jaw, SK on Thursday, February 9th, 2017 at the age of 97 years.  Beatrice was born in Wisconsin and moved to Assiniboia, SK with her family as a child.  The family later settled in Clemenceau close to Hudson Bay, SK where she met her husband-to-be Arnold.  Shortly after their marriage, Arnold and Beatrice moved to the family farm at Grayburn, SK where they ran a mixed farm for many years.  In their senior years Arnold and Beatrice retired to Moose Jaw.  She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold McBride; brothers: Robert, Ken, Louie, and George; sisters, Violet and Grace; and daughter-in-law, Elleda.  Beatrice is survived by her sister, Lenora (Merv); sisters-in-law, Wilma and Marion; sons: Merrill, Ray (Marion), and Wayne (special friend Lorrie); grandchildren: Louise, Ron, Donnie, Marie, Darren, Brian, Brenda, Darla, David, Cynthia, Michael, Kevin and Chantal; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In the spring, respecting Beatrice’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
