Victoria Colleen McCreary (Jones)

Victoria Colleen McCreary (Jones) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 at the age of 68 years.  The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 13th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tugaske Community Hall.  Sharon Schultz will officiate and a private family interment will take place a later date.  Vicky was born on May 5th, 1948 in Whitewood, SK.  She was the third of four girls and was raised on the family farm.  Vicky, her parents, and younger sister moved to Moose Jaw in 1960.  There, she attended school and later worked as a car hop at the A&W and a cashier at McDonalds.  She moved to Tugaske in 1979 and started working as a bartender at the Tugaske Hotel in 1996 until she retired to be a Grandma.  She was predeceased by her father, Victor Jones; and her partner, Archie Larsen.  Vicky will be sadly missed by her mother, Evelyn Jones; daughter, Colleen (Greg Gardner); son, Curtis Larsen; grandson, Riley Gardner; sisters: Dian (George) Denet, Marilyn (Kris) Jensen, and Donelda (Marcel) Barnabe; numerous nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law; and special friends, Bill and Carol McCreary.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Vicky’s name may be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK S7K 7Y4.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
