ANDREW RYAN BATHGATE
August 4th, 1990 – April 7th, 2025
It is with profound sadness we share that Andrew Ryan Bathgate passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 7th, 2025. Adored by all who were lucky to know him, Andrew leaves a huge hole in our world. A son, brother, husband, father, and friend; Andrew attended school in Moose Jaw, SK and graduated from Central Collegiate. He attended Saskatchewan Polytechnic and obtained his Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter, most recently employed with PCL Construction, where he excelled. A skilled craftsman, many are lucky to have benefitted from his skills and projects over the years. Andrew loved to be outdoors and travelling; there are so many memories of family vacations and camping trips that we will treasure forever. Known among the family as a chef, Andrew took excellent care of his “third child” – his BBQ. He was so caring and put his family first, always riding all the rides with his kids, celebrating important occasions, free with his tickles, and always ready for a conversation. Blessed with an excellent sense of humour, Andrew made friends easily and was loved by all.
Andrew leaves to mourn his partner of 17 years, Caity, and their children Addison and Callum. He will be profoundly missed by his parents, Gregg and Helen; sisters: Jylian (Daniel) and their children Niko, Yasmin and Omari, and Alison (Mike) and their children Madison (Tim), Raegan (Brad), Daylan, and Cohen; and brother, Bradley. Andrew is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, his in-laws, and friends.
Four lives will now live on after Andrew, as he was a firm supporter of organ donation.
A Celebration of Andrew’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral home, with tributes to start at 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we are asking loved ones to consider donating to support Caity, Addi and Callum as they navigate the journey forward. A GoFundMe has been set up https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-support-of-caity-addison-callum
Andrew is best summed up in a text message he sent to his family; we will miss him always.
“I love all of you. Always do and always will” – Andrew
Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
