Very sorry to learn of the loss of James. My condolences to the family—Brent it’s been a very long time—and to his friends and colleagues. Legal friends of mine thought very well of James. Nice to read in his obituary that he seemed to have filled up his cup of life with many interests. Rest in peace James.
My condolences to Jim’s family and all who shared in his life . Rest easy my friend
So very sorry Bruce and Brent and families, to read of Jims passing. Growing up next door to you all, brings back such endearing memories.. My thoughts are with you .
A friend to our family for decades, especially the close friendship you had with our brother; his passing impacted you greatly.
Jimmy, our mom loved you like a son, and we loved you as a family member. Unique, unassuming, and introspective, a contemplative man with knowledge beyond measure, yet never arrogant or boastful.
Thank you for being a valued presence in our lives, and such a great listener, talker, and teacher.
Now, like when we lost our brother (your chosen brother),we will miss YOU greatly and share stories of you, some positive, some not so:)
With much love, respect, and a genuine appreciation for who you were,
The Skagen Family
Condolences to Jill, Caleb and to those who genuinely cared about you and your wellbeing
(we know there are many who are, “full of sh—”, as you would say :).
Sending my condolences to Jim’s family. I have so many great memories of my friendship with Jim. We had many weekend adventures including motorcycle road trips, fishing at Buffalo Pound, and visiting. He will be very much missed.
My condolences on the passing of Jim Maclowich to his family generally.
It appears he had a rewarding life, well-educated.
Interesting he was from Tuxford, where I had family at one time and in the farm area.
It’s been decades since I lived in Moose Jaw and knew Jim.
While there I faced some financial challenges which required some legal help.
Jim told me what to do and how to do it and said I could come by any time for advice.
When I asked about what I owed he said …nothing, glad to help.
Truly a good man with a heart
Jim was truly a cool guy and an inspiration to many …. He always had a great wisdom about him and a superb sense of humour. I had forgotten until reading some comments that he liked making silver rings and jewellery… Many interesting pursuits including motorbikes. He was a way ahead of the curve on so many levels. My condolences to his family & children , Brent and Bruce who I also knew as friends for many years…. A way back when…
I am so sad to read this news. I’ve known Jim since the 70’s. He was always such a good man. I know he will be missed.
My condolences to his family and their spouses.
So very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Growing up next door the Maclowich family, they always felt more like family than neighbours. Our deepest sympathies to the Brent and Bruce, Jill and Caleb and families.
