Bryan Lavern Norris
Our beloved father Bryan Lavern Norris passed away peacefully in his home on November 7, 2024, at the age of 73. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Debbie, their three sons and one granddaughter: Barry (Mary), Michael (Sherry), Ian and Kiersten. Also, sister-in-law Carol, brother-in-law Dale, sister-in-law Marianne (Ken), sister-in-law Kathy, brother-in-law Don, sister-in-law Sharon and all nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We all will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by parents Percy and Martha and Brother Jerry, Sister Lynn, Brother-in-laws’ Rick and Darryl.
Bryan was a proud husband of 50 years and father who showed his love through his actions. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children. He was selfless, a man of few words, always willing to help anyone in need. He was a jack of all trades, nicknamed MacGyver. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, woodworking, auto-mechanics and home renovations. He loved playing cards and board games with his family, and it produced many memories and laughs. He also coached baseball and was heavily involved in his sons sporting endeavors. He was an avid gardener with a sprinkle of fanaticism. He loved Elvis Presley music. He worked for Canadian Pacific Railroad for 37 years, in which he retired in 2011.
The Memorial Service for Bryan will be held on Saturday Nov 23, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. All friends and family are welcome. Flowers and gifts are welcome, and memorial donations can be made to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation 9 Lancaster Road Moose Jaw, SK S6J 1M8 or to a charity of your choice to honor Bryan’s passing. Interment will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the palliative care nurses and staff, and Doctor Van Heerden and his staff for all of their support and assistance during this difficult time.
