Grace Esther King
After a long and fulfilling life, Grace Esther King (née: Christian) passed away into the presence of her Lord on Friday, November 1st, 2024.
Grace was born in Meadow Lake, SK on April 1st, 1942, the first child of Alfred and Edna Christian (née: Olsen). She had a happy childhood and took all her schooling there. After high school, Grace went to Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, SK. This is where she met her future husband, Dale. They were married on July 10th, 1965, and together they raised two daughters, Rosemarie and Sheryl. Grace was a stay-at-home mom, a term she preferred rather than homemaker and she greatly cherished those years together. After the girls left home, she started a house cleaning business which she did until retirement.
Grace enjoyed camping, gardening, flowers, baking, and word search puzzles. She was the heart of her family, and she lived by the words “Our family is a circle of strength and love”.
Grace was a true and loyal friend. She will be missed by all those who knew her, but the memories she created will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all those who knew her. She taught to love until it hurts, care with action, and give without hesitation.
Left to cherish Grace’s memory are her best friend and devoted husband of 59 years, Dale; daughter, Rosemarie (Dean) Russell and their sons Kian and Shay; daughter, Sheryl King; brothers, Lyle (Jean) Christian and Ken (Rose) Christian and their families; as well as other family members, neighbours, and her close circle of friends from church.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 14th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Walter Engel will officiate and a private family interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/. Our sincerest condolences to Dale and family. Grace was a friend of our family, always brightened the days when she and my mother Marie would talk and share stories. Grace often brought flowers, a beautiful gesture from an amazing woman.
God Bless you, Grace.
