LLOYD FOX
October 13th, 1946 – July 9th, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd George Fox, aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK, on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. Lloyd was born in Moose Jaw on October 13th, 1946. After high school, Lloyd worked at Scott National in the warehouse, at Western Grocers, and then later in life he delivered fuel for the Co-op. But his true passion was raising cattle. He loved the farm and spent his days feeding and checking on the cows, calving, branding, and everything a farmer loves to do.
Lloyd met the love of his life, Sylvia, in 1966 when they were both working at Scott National. They were married in 1968 and spent the next 56 years enjoying life together. They played baseball, loved going to dances together, spending time with friends, and being part of a close community of neighbors. A few years after they were married, they added two sons to the family, Ray and Jeff. Lloyd was a devoted family man who was so proud of his sons and grandchildren, and all of their accomplishments. His grandkids were his pride and joy. Lloyd will be remembered as being kind, honest, a hard worker and a great friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
The love and memories we have of Lloyd will be forever branded on our hearts. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Sylvia; sons, Ray (Dionne) and Jeff (Jana); grandchildren: Jordan, Aidan, Jacob, and Zachary; step-grandchildren, Brayden and Alaina Bollinger; the kids who called him “grandpa”: Logan Sukenik, Ryder and Rustin Darroch; brothers, David (Loni) and Doug; sisters: Liz, Joanne (Ken Miley), and Linda; brothers-in-law, Sid and Phil Huntley; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Celebration of Lloyd’s Life will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Celebrant Dave Foley officiating. Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.
