Beatrice Anna Simmons
Beatrice Anna Simmons passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 at the Craik Health Care Centre, at the age of 96 years after an 11 year battle with Alzheimers. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles on January 16th, 1996 and also by her sister, June. Beatrice is survived by her son, David (Jean); daughter, Della (Gerald); grandchildren: Robert (Suzy), Patrick (Cindy), Ryan and Brett; great-granddaughters, Hailey and Makena; and great-grandson, Max. Bea was a member of the Quincy Ladies Aid. She enjoyed all kinds of needlework, painting, and paper toling. She especially enjoyed sports, playing softball, and curling in a mixed and ladies league. Bea was a typical hardworking farm wife who drove truck for combining while ensuring there was a hot meal waiting at supper time, and in the meanwhile keeping her child with her in the truck and coloring with her. Watching the World Series with a toasted BLT was looked forward to all year long. Bea and Charlie enjoyed their holidays to Nashville, Las Vegas and Disneyland with their favorite companions, Frank and Mary Larrivee. A private family service will be held.
