Rose Ehrentraud Thome

Rose Ehrentraud Thome, aged 84 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 27th, 2017.  Rose was born and raised in Prelate, SK.  She attended school there and was taught by the Ursuline Sisters.  After graduating, she went to St. Paul’s in Saskatoon and graduated as a Registered Nurse.  Rose married Joe Thome on February 4th, 1954.  They lived in several different locations until they settled in the Rouleau district and started farming, and raising two children.  Rose loved to dance, music, and was very devoted to her faith.  She was predeceased by her son, Robert.  Rose will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Joe; daughter, Joann (Allan); daughter-in-law, Kathryn; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Phil; sister, Emily; as well as numerous other relatives.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 31st, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 1064 3rd Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK.  Father Rick Krofchek will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery at a later date.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Rose’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
