Gordon Brian Knox
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle and friend, Gordon Brian Knox on Thursday, January 4th, 2024.
He was predeceased by his father, Lloyd and brother, Wayne. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Irene; siblings: Dianne (Hugh) Armstrong, Dave (Joanne), Sandra (Ken) Nuttall, Barry (Karen), and Craig; as well as his uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Brian was born in Moose Jaw, SK on August 17th, 1961, and grew up on the farm near Briercrest, SK. Following graduation from high school, Brian went to Saskatchewan Technical Institute and took a course in brick masonry. He also took courses in stone masonry and welding. After working in Regina, SK and Moose Jaw, he returned to Briercrest to work on the farm with his father and brother. In the winter months, Brian helped put in and maintain the Briercrest Rink skating ice.
Brian will be remembered for always remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas with greeting cards, showing up at the back door with a dozen Tim Horton donuts to share, having the biggest Christmas Tree you could buy – covered with lights and boxes of tinsel, and being the fastest coffee drinker.
A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Celebrant Dave Foley will officiate and a private family interment will take place at Briercrest Cemetery. Those not able to attend may view the service virtually by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Brian’s name may be made to Heartland Hospice Moose Jaw Inc, Box 334, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4N9. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
