Leonard Raymond Trieber
Leonard Raymond Trieber, aged 89 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Tuesday, May 30th, 2017, one day short of his 90th birthday. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Doreen; parents, Raymond and Cecelia; and brother, Howard. Len is survived by sister, Dorothy Croxford of Trenton, ON; brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe and Audrey Barber of Regina, SK and Richard and Dorothy Lutz of Spruce Grove, AB; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Len served in the Canadian Navy and after his discharge, went to work at Sterling Motors as an auto mechanic. In September 1963, Len and Doreen purchased the hobby center which was located on High Street West. Len later moved the Hobby Center to a main street location. After a number of years, the hobby center was sold and he joined the sales team at Village Ford for a few years. In retirement, he enjoyed camping with the RV club, and continued his hobby of building and flying radio controlled airplanes. A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Interment of Len and Doreen’s cremains will take place in the military section at Rosedale Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Len’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan, 301 – 2550 – 12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
