Lynn (Leland) Turner
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn (Leland) Turner on Friday, August 4th, 2017 after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Lynn was born February 9th, 1941 – the eldest son of Doug and Olive. Lynn always loved working with horses and started his working life as a rider with the PFRA pasture program. He worked for PFRA for 35 years as a pasture manager until he retired in 1996. Lynn will be forever cherished by his wife, Denise LeBrun; his children: son Darryl (Glenda) and their daughters Megan and Mikala; son Lyle (Ronda), their daughter Dakota and son Kai; daughter Raylene (Jason) Lutz, their daughter Savanah and son Eric; their mother Mary McNaughton and his chosen adult son Darin (Sheri) Pedersen and their daughters Brooke and Kristie. Lynn’s eldest child Yvonne passed away as a child in 1971. He will be greatly missed by Denise’s children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her siblings. Lynn will also be missed by his brothers Larry, Don and Elwood along with their spouses, and his many nephews and nieces. Lynn will be remembered by his extended family and many friends as an easy going gentle person. Lynn always enjoyed people and he made time for a visit, a good word, and of course a laugh. A Memorial Service will be held at Moose Jaw Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served following the service. Lynn will be laid to rest in a private family interment in Semans on Thursday, August 10th, 2017. Following that, at 2:00 p.m. there will be a sharing of fellowship and lunch at the school in Semans, SK. Lynn will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. In lieu of flowers, his request was that each of us take some time to lend an ear and give a word of encouragement where it is needed. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
