Janet June Marchessault
Janet June Marchessault aged 93 years of Moose Jaw, SK and formerly of Coderre, SK, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023.
She was predeceased by her husband, Les; parents, William and Annie Wilson; siblings: Jean (Mervin), Maisie (Eldon), Dave (Therese), George (Fern), Jim, Mac (Lil), and Phyllis (Bob); her loving cats, Rocky and Missy; as well as numerous other pets that brought her so much joy. June will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Kevin, Dwight (Judy), Vance, and Nick (Jeanne); grandchildren: Chantelle (Vincent), Nicole (Mac), Rachelle (Brad), Samantha (Ryan), Steven (Sherry), and Adam; and great- grandchildren: Jordan, Wil, Ben, Dru, Simon, Emma, Ruby, and Amelia.
June was born on a horse ranch south-east of Coderre, SK. She loved spending time riding horses through the hills. She also enjoyed travelling and had one particularly memorable trip with her sister Phyllis to St. Mary’s Scilly Isles, the birthplace of her mother and Ayreshire, Scotland, the birthplace of her father. She loved watching curling and the Blue Jays on television. June was very social and loved attending family functions over the years. She absolutely loved animals and enjoyed many visits with all the family pets.
A Celebration of June’s Life will be held on Monday, August 14th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, donations in June’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7.
