Evelyn Audrey Suley
Evelyn Audrey Suley (née: Janzen) aged 82 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Thursday, April 13th, 2023 at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, with her husband Murray and nephews Ken and Eldon Janzen at her side. Evelyn was born on the family homestead in the Kelstern area on January 2nd, 1941 to Dietrich and Elizabeth Janzen.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dietrich and Elizabeth Janzen; as well as siblings and in-laws: Elizabeth Lorraine Janzen (in infancy), Lowell (Mary) Janzen, Willard Quinn, Rudolph Janzen, John (Donna) Janzen, and Genivieve Wild (Fred Jordan, Art Wild). Evelyn is survived by her husband of 38 years, Murray; sisters, Pearl Quinn and Grace Quinn (Gordon); sister-in-law, Doris Janzen; as well as numerous friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Evelyn was a clerk for Carr’s Confectionary at the Canada Post Sub Station #1 for many years. Many friends and customers will remember her from that job as well as dealing with the Sears catalog orders that also operated there.
Murray would like to express deep appreciation for the excellent care Evelyn received during these past few months from Dr. Pilon, Dr. Bortolotti, Dr. G.B. Van Heerden, and the nurses at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital who attended to Evelyn’s needs during her stay there. Murray would like to give special thanks to the Home Care Nurses and Continuing Care Aides who provided care to Evelyn for the time she was at home.
In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Evelyn’s name may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. My sincere condolences on Evelyn’s passing. I knew her well and always appreciated her help and friendliness at Carr’s. Also Murray I heartfelt appreciation for all the snow shoveling you did for my mom , Dora Yaschuk. She really appreciated it .
Most heartfelt condolences to all Evelyn’s family. What a gem of a lady. You will never be forgotten. At Carr’s you where great. When our family members reached the pension age, the first” brown” envelope usually had a bow and some ribbon on it. Rest in Peace Evelyn
