Gordon William Burley
Gordon William Burley aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Monday, November 28th, 2022, now free from the torment of Dementia he endured for the past two years.
Gordon was born in Dinsmore, SK to Gil and Gladys who have passed on, as has his brother Richard. Left behind to carry on are his wife of 50 years, Jo-Ann; daughter, Joelle and husband Derek Birkham and granddaughter Abigail; son, Jarret and wife Wynonna and grandchildren Diesel, Dax and Dannika; sister, Jane Morrow; sister-in-law, Cindy Burgess; brother-in-law, Don and wife Andrea Struthers; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gordon was a master carpenter, woodworker, and architectural technologist. He loved designing and building houses, furniture, cabinets and excelled at his hobby of Intarsia. He loved gardening, fishing, spending summers at the cabin, and sitting on the deck with an ice-cold beer during a hot summer afternoon. We take comfort knowing he is at peace. He will forever live in our hearts.
Respecting Gordon’s wishes there will be no funeral service. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Gordon’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301-2550-12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1. I was so sorry to hear of Gord’s passing. I feel blessed to have the hope chest he made for me still sitting in my bedroom to this day. Love and prayers to you all!
