Sharon Louise Hilts
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Sharon Louise Hilts (neé Hemingway), following a valiant fight against liver disease on November 4, 2022.
Sharon was born on November 27, 1944 in Nakomis, SK., where she took her education. She moved to Moose Jaw in 1962 where she met her husband in 1963 and where married July 18, 1964. They resided in Moose Jaw for the remainder of her life.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Violet Hemingway; father and mother-in-law, Howard and Muriel Hilts; brothers-in-law, James Proseilo (Iris), Edward (Peggy) Hilts; sister-in-law, Beverly (Glen) Hemingway and brother, Harvey (Marilyn) Hemingway.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, Sharon is survived by her husband of 58 years, Brian; son, Darren (Gail Ayres) with children: Gregory, Richard, and Katie; son, Scott (Linda) with children: Jennifer and Chantel; daughter, Karen (David) Wiwchar with son, Austin; brothers: Fred (Joanne), Alan (Wendy), Glen, and Hugh (Wendy); sisters: Iris, Audrey (Bob Hendry), Phyllis (Steven) James; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Dave) Bourassa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews she dearly cherished.
A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with interment taking place at Rosedale Cemetery. For friends and family who are unable to attend, you are invited to view the service virtually by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon’s name may be made to the The Moose Jaw Humane Society Box 1658 Station Main Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Sad to hear nice people have to died. My wife and I like to offer our sincere sympathy to the family.
