Lynnita Marie Carr (née: Wood) aged 82 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday, December 26th, 2019. Lynnita will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Forrest “Smokey”; Doug (Erica), grandchildren Ceilo, Lynn and Johnathon; Byron (Val), grandchildren Ryan and Brittney; Marina Marshall, grandchildren Levi and Alia; as well as her brother, George (Glady) Wood. This little bundle of joy was introduced to this world on April 30th, 1937 in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan. After graduating, Lynn worked as a lab technician in Weyburn. She married the love of her life, Gordon Carr on May 10th, 1958. They spent 60 wonderful years together until his passing on April 29th, 2019. Lynnita and Gordon traveled many places including England, Scotland and New Zealand. Her favorite destination was camping at Loon Lake, sitting on a lawn chair with many good books in hand. She also enjoyed the time she spent with her coffee group which was made up of some very special ladies. Her most cherished times were Sunday suppers around the table with family. Lynnita was extremely proud of her family as they meant the world to her. She leaves behind nothing but beautiful precious memories. A special thanks to Dr. Geyer for his care and compassion throughout the years. The family also wishes to thank Mariam (owner of Marcie’s Care Home). She treated Lynnita like she was family and we will be forever grateful for her love, support, time and care given to her. A Celebration of Lynnita’s Life will be held on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Celebrant Dave Foley officiating.
