Gustav Alfred Schick
Gustav Alfred Schick, aged 88 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019. Alfred was born on December 19th, 1930 to Gottfried and Elizabeth (née: Baer) Schick near Bayard, SK. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Mabel; siblings: Bill (Jean), Tony (Dora), Emma (John Morhart), and Ann (Lorne Stafford); Mabel’s parents, Albert and Inga (née: Nelson) Westgard; her siblings: Slim (Nora), Art (Mary), Ole (Eva), Bertha (Joe Liefso), Aggie (Steve Ulbrech), and Irene (Ted Watamanuk); as well as ten nieces and nephews. Alfred is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Walter) and their children Wanda (Shaun), Marsha (Ryan), Paula (Steve) and Sheila; son, Keith (Rosemary) and their children Erik and Adam (Deanna); and great-grandchildren: Nolan (Brittney), Preston, Jayda, Drew and Oaklan. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Dr, Moose Jaw SK. Pastor John Kreutzwieser will officiate and interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. It was sad to hear the Alfred had past away. I worked with Alfred at the Union Hospital for a few years. I personally want to offer my sincere sympathy to all in the family. Also, to share this hope that we soon could see Alfred alive again as promised in the Bible at Revelation 21: 1- 4 and 1Corinthians 15:21 – 22.
