Bernhart Christmann

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernhart (BJ) on Saturday, December 23rd, 2006, following a brief battle with cancer. BJ was born and raised in the Secretan district, where he remained on the farm raising his family, and actively ranching until two years ago when he and his wife, Margaret, retired to High Park Towers in Moose Jaw . He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Elizabeth; his brother Rienholt; three brothers in law Cy Ellison, John Dion, and George McConnell; and daughter in law Darlene. His eighty-five years of life will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty-two years Margaret ; his daughter Betty(Jim) Johnson of Coquitlam, BC; sons Allan (Angie) of Moose Jaw, Sk, Lyle (Kathy), Carl(Christina) all of Central Butte, Sk; twelve grandchildren Heather (Curtis), Lynelle, Susan (Justin), Tara (Brad), Kim, Richard (Alyssa), Nathan (Jen), Angela (Alain), Ryan (Amber), Alison, Casey and Riley; eight great grandchildren; step mother Annie Ditch; five brothers Walter (Francis), Siegfried, Leonhart (Karen), Ralph, Raymond (Lillian); five sisters Erna Ellison, Agnes McConnell, Eleanor Marland, Doris Dion, and Irene Dumas; sister in law Carrie Christmann; numerous nieces and nephews; and all of his extended family who shared in his life. Friends so wishing, may make donations in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. E. , Moose Jaw , Sk.S6H 2M2 in lieu of flowers. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 29th , 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Pastor Doug Shepherd will officiate
