Norman Allan
Mr. Norman Allan, aged 78 years of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 25 th, 2007 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Norm was born November 5 th, 1928 at Tugaske, Sask., and lived most of his life in Moose Jaw. Predeceased by his parents, Peter Allan and Louise Olechowski; son-in-law, Larry Fikowski; brothers-in-law, Stan Walsh and Les Watson. Norman is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary; daughter, Glenda; grandchildren: Grant (Cheryl), Craig (Lori) and Kyla (Matt); great-grandchildren: Lukas and Jakob; daughter, Wendy (Rocky); grandchildren: Delee (Glen), Jared (Bev), Sara (Gary); great-grandchildren: Kayla and Austin; son, Dennis (Maryann); grandchildren; Teresa (Jason), Josh (Megan), Juliann (Ashley); great-grandchildren: Jackson, Hayden, Merrick and Brady; son, Les (Kerri); grandchildren: Jennifer (Sheldon), Michael, Chris and Lee-Ann; sister, Mildred Watson and her children. Norm worked on the CPR as a locomotive engineer for 40 years. He was an avid golfer, curler, played ball and was a life time member of the Elks Club. Norm also loved to bird watch and did a lot of camping. He never sat still and was always tinkering in the garage either fixing or building something. The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, June 29 th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home (268 Mulberry Lane) with Elaine Foulkes officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Norm’s memory to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, Attention: Medical Floor, 455 Fairford St. E. Moose Jaw, Sk., S6H 1H3 or the Saskatchewan Lung Association, Box 58000, Saskatoon, Sk. S7K 7Y4.
We would like to thank all the Doctors & Nurses at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina and the Union Hospital in Moose Jaw for all they did for our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Also a special thanks to Elaine Foulkes for being there in our time of need.
