Avery, Joanne Frances (nee: Buckmaster)
January 31 st, 1948 – March 7 th, 2007
Joanne Frances Avery passed away suddenly at the age of 59 years in the comfort of her home following a lengthy battle with emphysema. Joanne was born in Moose Jaw then raised in the Keeler district attending school in Keeler and Brownlee where she enjoyed athletics. Joanne married Ken Avery in 1966 and had three children. She worked in Moose Jaw for many years and especially enjoyed her tenure at Valley View Centre. Joanne formed many special relationships with the people she cared for at Valley View until her health failed and she was no longer able to work in 2006. Joanne took pride in her grandchildren, enjoyed reading and had a fondness for all living things. Joanne was predeceased by her parents Ken and Lucille. She is dearly missed by her daughter Frances Lynn Avery (Guy Menendez, Elena and Alyssa); son Bruce Avery (Krissy Simpson, Faith, Sadie and Chase); daughter Jennifer (Scott Jacobson, Brandon, Nolen, and Caleb).She will also be fondly remembered by her former husband and lifelong friend Ken Avery; beloved family Karen, Bruce and Florence, John and Sandy, Jane and Jim; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with the wishes of Joanne, there will be No Funeral Service. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
